Kadazandusun Traditional Costume Flat Vector Illustration
It's nearly the end of May, which means Kaamatan is just around the corner. I decided to post these babies I did last year here. Drawing this took me weeks of research, designing and finally the end product. It wasn't for any paid project or uni assignment, I guess I just wanted to try out 'flat vector' designing and I thought why not the Kadazandusun traditional costume, because..
1. I got to learn how to do flat vector illustration on Ai!! (facts: I learn to use Ai just last year, thank you YouTube hahaha)
2. Learn about my culture even more (facts: Kadazandusun has so many sub-ethnic groups and each of them have different traditional costume.. if not mistaken, more than 30! I've chosen only 9 hehe)
After seeing the outcome, those hand cramps are all worth it. hahahah. Jokes aside, I really enjoyed doing this project but to be honest I don't really see myself doing this kind of art style again in the future. Maybe one day, but not anytime soon.
I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them ♡
Also, if you do plan to share them, please don't remove the watermark :) Thank you!
Ps: I MIGHT create another series of these but in a different art style ;) Check out my art account on IG ( @craftbykae ), more art related updates there. and Kotobian tadau tagazo do Kaamatan ♥
