Adventuring Murug Turug
Need an escapade? Murug Turug is the place to be. About a week ago, mum asked me if I wanted to join her with some of her friends to go "hiking". I didn't want to go at first because the only "workout" or "exercise" I have been doing was going to and fro between the kitchen and my bedroom. However, since I had nothing to do that day, I reluctantly agreed.
I think its about an hour plusminus from the city to Murug - Turug Eco Tourism. We ended up reaching the place around 10/11am. The person in charge gave us a little briefing; about food, emergencies, what shoes we should wear etc. If you're planning to go anytime soon, do buy yourself an Addidas Kampung. We bought ours just for eight ringgit in Donggongon. If you couldn't find any, don't worry because the park there rents a pair for three ringgit. One thing I regret not bringing was a band aid, I had blisters all over my foot (T.T)
There are 3 different packages; package A, B and C. We took package B (5KM and you'll get to see 3 waterfalls). Package B's route was so-so, not that tough (at first..). As you can see in pic 1 and 2, the road was wide and there's even a pavement. It lasted about 30minutes before we reached pic 3, it's slightly slippery here, my advice, bring along a stick so you can balance. A little after 10minutes then you'll reach pic 4, it's like stairs made out of tyres. Pic 5 and 6 just shows the ladders we had to use when climbing down - its scary friends. Our whole journey to the waterfall was in fact "hiking" down, so we didn't really use up that much energy. Lucky? I don't think so, if going towards the waterfall is "hiking" down, that means going back from the waterfall to the starting/ending point means climbing back up \o.o/
Yay, we're finally here! The current was so strong and the water was so cold. Not to mention it started raining o.o
The rain didn't stop us from taking pictures kekeke
Will I go again? YES OF COURSE! I mean just look at the view, it is to die for.
My rating;
Toughness - Not really tough, maybe a 4/10 (for package B)
Cleanliness - Very clean except for Piolungan Waterfall, don't get me wrong, it is clean too, but next to it there's this bunch of rocks made to be a filter kind of system I think, and there are debris stuck around which is kind of a sore to my eyes.
Waterfall - Really beautiful, I wished I had stayed longer
View - 10/10 ! The greenery and the cloudy blue sky really compliment each other <3
Ps/: There's no leeches! Yay!
